An illustration and animation I created using Photoshop and my own personal photography. The poster is 2160 by 2880 pixels large, at 72 dpi and the .gif file size is 1500×2000 pixels large, at 72 dpi.

Project Goals
This project required me to incorporate still images and motion into one cohesive composition while also highlighting a unique aspect of the subject’s personality and identity.
Design Choices
The model in the photo is named Noor, which means light in Arabic. I wanted to convey her connection to the word “light” through my illustration. Lighting and highlighting were the key elements I focused on to help achieve that goal.
For the word Noor, I created a gold text effect to highlight the importance of the title, her name. I also created a frame animation that appears to be a shining light running through the text, and added a reflecting to the text to add another subtle element of light.
To create a sense of motion, I surrounded the ball of light with spiraling lines to add a sense of energy and motion to the illustration.
